The roots of the Yallingup Steiner School can be found deep within our community. We began our life with a small but dedicated band of like-minded people and this has grown over the last 21 years to encompass the thriving school and parent community that you will find here today. Through the celebration of Festivals we are given wonderful opportunities to come together as a community. For example, the four seasons offer us reason for meaningful celebration with our children. Our festivals encompassing music, class singing, plays, instrumental performances, food and time together give us the opportunity to build a quiet and reverent space in our otherwise busy lives.
Our parents produce a yearly magazine and work together to organise our annual Auction Night and Spring Fair. Parents also operate our fabulous school shop ‘Gnome Hollows’ which is stocked full of Steiner books, stationary, felted toys, knitted items, handmade gifts and more. We have a parent-run craft group that brings parents together to either learn or teach a new craft.
Throughout the year our Anthroposophical Manager and other teachers hold Parent Education sessions in Margaret River, Busselton and surrounding areas. From time to time we have guest speakers who are specialists in their field to speak at our school.
Our energetic Parents & Friends Association come together every fortnight. The mission of the P & F is to bring all members of the school community together into a strong social and fundraising body that nurtures both individuals, families and our school as a whole. Please go to our P & F page to learn about all of the wonderful things occuring throughout the year.
