Dear Readers, Please find attached this week’s newsletter. This is the first that I am sending from our new website. The website does only send about twenty emails an hour it is necessary to note that not everyone will receive their newsletter at the same time. For this reason I have decided to send the newsletter out on a Monday, rather than a Tuesday. If you have a contribution for the Newsletter please ensure that I receive it by Monday morning. Please look out for the ‘Heart of Parenting’ information and the updates concerning the current school management structure. I hope you all have a lovely week and can either embrace the ‘windy conditions’ or, my personal preference, find somewhere out of the wind to snuggle and listen to the wind chimes. Warm wishes, Kerrie Naughton Registrar Yallingup Steiner School Cnr Wildwood &…

Dear Readers, Welcome back to another term of School and Newsletters. I hope you all had a agreeable and relaxing holiday with your beautiful children. I certainly did. Attached is this week’s newsletter and please accept our apologies for its late arrival. We have had a bit of a computer ‘issue’ over the past few days which has prevented the newsletter from being sent. I would encourage you to have a really close read and especially note our recognition of Vivienne and the exciting news about our new website. I hope all families are cosy and safe after last night’s wild weather and are looking forward to a smooth and enjoyable third term and. Warm wishes, Kerrie Naughton Registrar Cnr Wildwood & Caves Rds Yallingup WA 6282 08 9755 2230

This year's MardiGras Festival saw all the children excitedly creating masks. Class 1/2 made masks representing 'Earth', Class 3 made masks representing 'Air', Class 4/5 made masks representing 'Fire' and Class 6 made masks to represent 'Water'. Family and friends were invited to participate in the conga, limbo and finished off watching the children recite and dance in their class themes.

This gallery shows this year's Mid-Winter Festival where we had Joshua from the local Aboriginal 'Wardan Centre' come and tell us a local creation story and play the didgeridoo while we walked the spiral. We came together to sing and were entertained by Class 6 who had been practising their fire twirling skills throughout Term 2. The Class 6 students put on a magnificent show which they choreographed themselves and were accompanied by three drummers from the school community.

This gallery displays our children practising and performing their fantastic circus skills. We are extremely lucky to have Fatt Matt from the Famous Lunar Circus visit our school each year to teach all our Primary children circus skills. Our children are taught by Matt over the course of 2-4 weeks. After this time all the children put on an amazing Circus Show for their family and friends.
