CAMP FEES

In Class 3, 4, 5 & 6, a camp of two to four nights may be offered, possibly costing up to $200.00 per child in Classes 3 & 4 and $400 in Classes 5 & 6.

Fees for camps will be invoiced (by Business Manager) separately via camp invoice.

HOLDING OF PLACES

Places will not be held for more than one term if there is a waitlist in place. There will be no fee reduction offered for prolonged absences, approved or unapproved.

NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
Notice in writing, of at least one full term in advance, must be given prior to the withdrawal of a student. In default, one term’s tuition fee is payable. Notice of withdrawal should be given in writing to the Registrar who will pass the information on to the Business Manager.

BUILDING FUND
The Yallingup Steiner School Building Fund is available to accept financial contributions from parents and friends to assist with the ongoing building program. Much has still to be done and the building fund is seen as an important element in the school’s development. All donations over $2 to this fund are tax deductible. Please contact the Business Manager at the school or email businessmanager@yss.wa.edu.au

BURSARY FUND

A Bursary Fund has been established for the benefit of providing temporary assistance to families who are unable to meet fee obligations.

Parents may apply for a bursary if they are experiencing financial hardship. Please apply through the Business Manager.

Parents and Friends

PARENT LIBRARY
Books are available in the office for the school community to borrow. It is free to join. Donations welcome.

FUNDRAISING
The Parents & Friends Association is actively involved in fund raising for the school community. Fundraising may happen within each class for various projects, with the main ‘whole-school’ fundraising venture of the year being the Spring Fair.

PARENT PARTICIPATION SCHEME
The Parent Participation Scheme endorsed by the School Council is a way of helping the school and sharing the workload with a commitment of time – a minimum of 20 hours per family per year or 5 hours per term. A register of parents and areas of contribution is kept in the office.

Transport

School Bus Services run a dedicated bus service for the Yallingup Steiner School which runs mornings and afternoons to and from Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River.  School Bus Services is a Public Transport Authority Service which is responsible for providing eligible rural students and students with special needs, free transport assistance to and from school on contracted ‘Orange’ school buses.

A bus timetable can be obtained from the school office.

The Busselton school bus departs from the Busselton terminus (Kent Street) at 7:30am with various designated stops along the way, including Dunsborough  arriving at the school at approximately 8:40am.  The bus departs school in the afternoon at 3:20pm and arrives in Busselton at 4:30pm.

The Dunsborough school bus departs Dunsborough at 8:15 am and arrives at school at approximately 8:50am.  The bus departs school in the afternoon at 3:20pm arriving at Dunsborough at 3:50pm.

The Margaret River school bus departs at Cowaramup at 7:33 then heads to Margaret River  at 7:50am with designated stops along the way arriving at the school at approximately 8:55am.  The bus departs school in the afternoon at 3:20pm and arrives in Margaret River at 4:25pm.

Parents of students who drive their children to the school may be eligible for a conveyancing allowance if a contract school bus service is not available.  For more information please contact the school office or visit www.schoolbuses.wa.gov.au.
