I feel strange power quickening Which, gathering, grants me to myself: I find the seed ripening, And presentiment weaves in light To inwardly empower selfhood.

‘Rome wasn’t built in a day!’
The children began by making a physical timeline taking us back to 3700bc to the age of Mesopotamia and Persia. We then mapped the timeline every 400 years to bring us through Ancient India, to Egypt, to Greece and then to the roads that lead to Rome. Historically we stepped our way through the changing paths of divine thinking to more conceptual thought, bringing to light the children’s own pathway in development as we start to reach the 12 year.
We acknowledge the Wadandi (Saltwater people) as the traditional custodians of these lands, skies and waterways where we come together at Yallingup Steiner School, and where learning has taken place for thousands of years.
We extend this respect to all First Nations people and thank the Ancestors, Elders, and custodians of the Wadandi community, who have cared for and continue to nurture Country, in their many restoration projects, community and cultural research and spiritual wisdom of the earth as sacred.
